Three Cat Productions – Season Generals

Audition:  Tuesday, August 30 & Wednesday, August 31 from 6pm to 9pm (Callbacks will be Thursday, Sept 1)

Audition Location: Berger Park Cultural Center (6205 N Sheridan Rd.)

Three Cat Productions is seeking actors for specific roles in Marvelous Madelines by Wendy Schmidt,  Holiday Stories by Various, and Chicago Stories by Smith & Freeman.

Please prepare two contrasting monologues of no more than three minutes total (for actors who sing please also prepare 16 bars of a song of your choice.  Accompanist provided.  Please bring one copy of your headshot and resume.   For specific show breakdowns, please see below.

Holiday Stories by Various

About the Production:

It’s a new tradition! Three Cat Productions brings you the third annual Holiday Stories — The Other Side of Christmas. Eight playwrights & composers explore what it means to be an outsider on the biggest, most commercial, and most televised event of the year! Join us for drama, wacky humor, adorable actors, and some truly transcendent four-part harmony that will chase away your “I Can’t Believe It’s the Holidays Again” blues.


Roles will be written by eight Chicago playwrights for the cast assembled.  We are looking for both actors of color and actors who are comfortable with acapella harmony.  We are looking for actors comfortable with the development process.

Chicago Stories by Smith & Freeman

May 11 to June 10, 2017

About the Production:

Chicago Stories is a hometown musical revue featuring  stories about gun violence and those that are impacted by violence in Chicago.   Weaving history and personal stories from Chicagoans, the musical will feature songs from some of Chicago’s top composers.


We are looking for both seven to eight actors of color and actors who are comfortable with harmony.  Musical styles will include Broadway to Hip Hop.   We are looking for actors comfortable with the development process.
