Hope’s most recent play, PENUMBRA, was included in the 2014 “Chicago New Work Festival” produced by Three Cat Productions and had a staged reading at the Berger Park Coach House Theatre.
She is a member of the Network Playwrights at Chicago Dramatists, where her full-length comedy REHEARSING THE CHERRY ORCHARD received a staged reading in 2012. It was chosen for the 2011 “Northern Writes New Play Festival” sponsored by the Penobscot Theatre in Bangor, Maine. In 2012 it was part of a symposium entitled “Chicago Playwrights and Their Plays” at the Newberry Library.
Among her short plays THE S-O-N CAFE was produced by Cold Basement Dramatics for its 2011 play festival, “Secret Stash.” THE ICE MAN was presented by SRO Productions on “Festival Night” at the Las Vegas Little Theatre, 2013. CHINA DREAMS, a radio play, was part of Skeletal Remains Theatre’s “Festival of Fear” at the Intuit Gallery, Chicago, 2012.
She wrote the lyrics and collaborated on the book for the musical RIGHT AROUND THAT CORNER! produced by the MacDowell Artists Association of Oak Park, 1995.
Hope belongs to the Dramatists Guild of America, Actors’ Equity and the Screen Actors Guild.
