About Basha Evans

bashaIn Swahili, Basha means an act of God. basha! is an actress, dance and model. “Humorous,” “creative,” “energetic,” “poised and talented” are often used to describe her performance when she’s on stage. The passion and enjoyment for entertaining an audience began when she was her mother’s Tupperware Party Toy Demonstrator.  Later in her teenage years, she became a Flag Girl Twirler with Chicago Vocational High School Marching Band. She also studied techniques in modeling at Cleo Johnson School of Charm with well-known model Cleo Johnson.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theater with a minor in Speech Communications-Performance Studies at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.

Upon earning her degree, she has worked with stage director and mentor *Segun Ojewuyi and film director Spike Lee in Chiraq, several of Coquie Hughes films (My Mama Said Yo Mama’s a Dyke). She shared her talents across a few borders Bridgeton, Barbados; London, UK; Lagos, Nigeria; Atlanta, Georgia, and Chicago and surrounding suburbs, in productions such as Medea, *Home, *Seven, *Preemptive, Dream In Color, Chronicles of a Single Mother, and many more.

Basha is honored to be portraying 20 and working with Three Cat Productions. She gestures a warm hug and a strong fist pump to everyone in the house.
