2013 Fall Production

Three Cat Education offers children and teens opportunities to experience the worlds of theater and cabaret in a safe and nurturing environment. Our educational offerings (on plays, musicals, cabaret and show choir) teach the fundamentals of performance and also may include potential opportunities to appear in venues in the Chicagoland area.

Join beloved Oz characters the Tin Man, Scarecrow and Cowardly Lion on a journey through Oz. In the Tin Man of Oz, we meet a boy, a lion cub, and a farmer who hopes to scare away some birds. Our Three Cat Education actors will use music, sketch and puppetry to examine just what happened before The Wonderful Wizard of Oz!

Tin Man of Oz will include roles for non-singers and non-dancers as well as for those who want to sing and dance. The show will be written specifically for and BY our students who audition, and we take great care to make sure we have a place for all. Each child’s individual talents are used to create a production uniquely theirs.

Enrollment is now open for our Fall 2013 children’s production, Tin Man of Oz. All children who audition will be accepted (up to maximum enrollment), but all children must audition in order to participate. Auditions allow us to meet the children and to write a show specifically for their individual talents before rehearsals begin.

To schedule an audition or for questions, please call Three Cat Education at 312-970-9840 or email us at jsmith@threecatproductions.com.  Or sign-up online:

Session Schedule: Rehearsals will take place once or twice weekly from September 28 to November 16, 2013, with performances November 23 and 24. The tentative plan, depending on children’s availability, is to hold rehearsals Tuesdays 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. There might be an additional technical rehearsal the week of November 19th (Date TBD). Children must commit to the full session and limit absences to 2. Participation in technical and dress rehearsals is mandatory.
