VISUAL ARTIST SERIES FEATURES CATHERINE DILDILIAN
(CHICAGO) Check out Three Cat Productions as they unveil their new Visual Artist Series designed to introduce not only performance art, but also visual artists in the Chicagoland community. Three Cat Productions’ mission “to create connections between theater, music, audience and artists” speaks volumes through the Visual Artist series bringing the worlds of theater and art together on the same platform.
Each production in Three Cat Productions’ 2013/14 season will highlight a different visual artist. The artist’s work will appear in the lobby and will be available for sale throughout the run of the show.
The first featured artist of the season is Joint Attention’s Catherine Dildilian.
About Catherine Dildilian:
Growing up a classical dancer, Dildilian learned to express herself not with words, but through movement. Painting allows her the same gift, translating emotion and inspiration onto a canvas via paint and brushes. While her first love is the stage and collaborating with an ensemble, she also finds peace in the solitude and time of reflection that painting affords her.
When Dildilian is not performing, she enjoys the pursuit of several creative outlets including photography, jewelry making and repurposing old furniture. She can most often be found however, hunched over a canvas, ear buds in, hands covered in paint. She credits both of her parents for her artistic tendencies, thanks her sister for indulging her in playtime and her husband, Matthew Sitz, for his continued support and extreme enthusiasm.
Joint Attention is directed by Jason Paul Smith, Artistic Director, Three Cat Productions. Joint Attention was developed in part at Three Cat Productions’ 2013 Chicago New Work Festival.
The cast includes Catherine Dildilian, Nick Strauss, Molly Bunder, and Valerie Gorman.
