Staged Reading Casting
Three Cat Productions is seeking actors of Indian decent for “Dreary Street” by Sagit Sol Epstein.
A comedy about two Indian American families struggling to accept their dysfunctional life. Gungu, Anisha’s grandmother, has hallucinations from Parkinson’s medication . She is certain that her husband is betraying her with younger women, and drives all the family mad. Shankatala, Rupash’s mom, is desperate for grandchildren and will do anything to make her son get married. Anisha and Rupash meet again after years apart, and their reunion makes Anisha hope for a better life- or not.

Auditions
Three Cat Productions is seeking actors of all types for the summer production of “Diamond Lil or The Music of the Gay 30s”. Actors will be paid a stipend.

We first took you to Rush street with “At Mister Kelly”s of the 1950s/60s. Three Cat Productions is going to take you to 909 North Rush with to “Diamond Lil’s”. The musical revue set in Chicago, 1932 explores the famed Pansy Craze nightclub “Diamond Lil” which was packed so tight with partying gays that people were turned away. Come celebrate Chicago.
Audition: Tuesday, June 4, from 6 p.m. to 8:30, Wednesday, June 5, from 6 p.m. to 8:30, and Saturday June 8, from 9:30am to 2pm (Callbacks TBD)
Auditions will be held at Berger Park Cultural Center (6205 N. Sheridan Rd.)

Stage Management Positions

Description:
Three Cat Productions is seeking Stage Managers for the Chicago New Work Festival. We are looking for several stage managers to be paired with a Playwright and Director. Each play will be worked over a one week period (with potential production meetings prior to the schedule week). Plays will be staged readings so general lighting and set will be used. The festival will run from March 25 to May 28.
Box Office Internship
Description:
Box Office interns will participate in the day-to-day operation of the Box Office. Interns will be trained in our standard ticketing software and will sell tickets to the customer over the phone and in person. Interns will also coordinate all incoming education registrations for Three Cat Education. Other duties may include filing, helping with paperwork, setting up will call tickets, help ushering and house management. Interns will be asked to work two to three days per week.
This is an unpaid internship.
Marketing and Social Media Internship
Description:
Marketing and Social Media interns will assist with the Marketing and PR of Three Cat Productions and Three Cat Education.s Duties include: developing material/copy for social media sites; creating promotional videos, updating twitter, facebook, and website; monitoring and tracking individuals interacting with Three Cat’s social media. Interns will also work closely with our marketing team to create and implement promotional campaigns including: design and distribution of posters/postcards, create and release press release, coordinate publicity photos, and create press kits.
This is an unpaid internship.
