(Chicago, IL)   Three Cat Productions presents the world premiere of the solo play Maker of Worlds by Wendy Schmidt at the Chicago Park District’s Berger Park Coach House Theater at 6205 N. Sheridan Road (Edgewater by Granville el stop on Red Line).

Pictured L-R: Wendy Schmidt, Jeri Frederickson, and Amy Gorelow.

Martha, a deity, contemplates destroying the world because there is no good left in it. A second deity, disguised as her yoga instructor, proposes fighting the system instead. But Martha’s husband Warren built the system, and somewhere on another plane, Martha is still in love with Jim Morrison. One woman plays six characters in Maker of Worlds, a play about a planet hurtling towards disaster, what’s good, and who gets to decide.

“Maker of Worlds is a fantastic solo piece running as counter programing to our Holiday production,”  states Jason Paul Smith, Three Cat Productions Artistic Director.   “Both hilarious and thought provoking,  the piece is a magical exploration of ideas that questions the way we perceive the world around us.”

Previews begin December 3, 2018.  The show runs from December 3  – December 29, 2018.  Performances are Mondays at 7:30pm, Tuesdays at 7:30pm, Wednesdays at 7:30pm, and Saturdays at 1pm at the Berger Park Coach House Theater at 6205 N. Sheridan in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago.  Doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain.  No late seating.
