THREE CAT PRODUCTIONS ANNOUNCES THE 2019/20 SEASON

(Chicago, IL)   Three Cat Productions has announced their seventh season of world premieres at their home at the Berger Park Coach House Theater in Edgewater.  

The season kicks off this fall with the world premiere of David Finney’s, Perjured Love. Directed by Pat Henderson. In Perjured Love, four actors are rehearsing A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  As the four try to figure out who they really love, they discover Cupid’s arrows can really sting.

Three Cat Productions celebrates the holiday season with the return of last years hit show, The Holiday Radio Show: 1944, directed by Jason Paul Smith and musical direction by Roy A. Freeman.   With an all new group of playwrights including Gabriella Bonamici, André Richardson Hogan II, Laura Scruggs, Rolfe Sick, and Jason Paul Smith,  The Holiday Radio Show: 1945 takes us back to December 1944 featuring celebrated holiday music in three part harmony and classic stories by Charles Dickens, Hans Christian Andersen, Augustus M Hodges, Clement C. Moore and more.

The season concludes with in the spring with a remount of the critical hit and audience favorite Diamond Lil and the Pansy Craze.  Directed by Jason Paul Smith, Three Cat Productions Artistic Director, the musical revue set in Chicago, 1932 explores the famed Pansy Craze club “Diamond Lil” which was packed so tight with partying boys that people were turned away.  Come celebrate Chicago.

Love is a tangled mess or so wrote Shakespeare in his play A Midsummer Night’s Dream! In Perjured Love, four actors rehearsing that play, Hellen, Dan, Hermine and Larry, discover the bard knew what he was writing about. Hellen loves Dan, Dan loves Hermine, Hermine loves Larry and Larry has the hots for her.  As the four try to figure out who they really love, they discover Cupid’s arrows can really sting.

Three Cat Production is thrilled to announce the return of the hit show “The Holiday Radio Show: 1944”. The Holiday Radio Show takes us to the final Christmas of World War II. Featuring stories by Charles Dickens, Hans Christian Andersen, Augustus M Hodges, Clement C. Moore and more. Join us for drama, wacky humor, adorable actors, and some truly transcendent three-part harmony that will chase away your “I Can’t Believe It’s the Holidays Again” blues.

We first took you to Rush street with “At Mister Kelly”s of the 1950s/60s.   Three Cat Productions is going to take you even further back in time to 909 North Rush and the famed “Diamond Lil’s”.  The musical revue set in Chicago, 1932 explores the famed Pansy Craze club “Diamond Lil” which was packed so tight with partying boys that people were turned away.  Come celebrate Chicago.
